Margaret Bourke-White

Margaret Bourke-White, born in New York City, was one of the most famous US photojournalists of the 1930s and 40s. She documented numerous major events including the partition of British India, the Second World War, the unrest in South Africa and the Korean War. She was the first foreign photographer permitted to take pictures of Soviet industry and the first female photographer in combat zones in the Second World War.
