Caribbean Contributions

By the start of the Second World War, the vast majority of Caribbean nations had been colonised by the European Empires, including the British, French and Italian Empires. Much of the Caribbean was colonised by Great Britain and became part of the British Empire. 20,000 soldiers from these nations participated in the war and many more worked in the production of food and manufacturing.
